Opening or Closing a Site or District
Use this guide for opening a new district, organic growth site, enrichment program, site updates, or closing an existing location.
Opening a New Site or District
Use this process to request:
- A new district
- A new organic growth site
- A site name or address change
- A new enrichment program
Step One: Submit the Start-Up Request Form
Regional Directors/Managers:
Submit the Start-Up Request Form once a contract has been signed for a new district or site.
This form alerts the Operations Team and begins the start-up process.
After submission:
- The Operations Team will create a Start-Up Tracker
- You will receive the tracker link and next steps within 3–4 business days
Step Two: Submit KT Requests
Regional Directors/Managers:
Submit KT Support Tickets for:
- A KT Merchant ID for each new site
- KT Build-Out requests
Step Three: Submit IT Requests
Regional Directors/Managers:
Submit an IT Support Ticket to request site technology, including:
- Student iPads
- Staff iPads
- Chromebook
- Printer
- Site phone
- Site email
- Monitors
Step Four: Start-Up Team Coordination
The Start-Up Team will connect with local leadership to complete:
- New Site/District setup
- Scope of Services documentation
Closing an Existing Site or District
Step One: Submit the Closure Form
Submit the closure form as soon as an official end date has been confirmed for a site or district.
This form notifies the appropriate departments and team leads. The Operations Team may follow up for additional details.
Step Two: Submit an SMS Ticket
Submit an SMS ticket to notify the SMS Team of the closure.
Step Three: Complete the Closure Checklist
The Operations Team will provide a Site/District Closure Checklist outlining final steps and responsibilities.
Important Reminder
All technology equipment must be shipped back to the NC Innovation Center for reprovisioning and reallocation.
Submit this form once you have an official word and end date of a site or district closing.
All tech equipment will need to be shipped to the NC Innovation Center
(620 N. Patterson Ave. Winston-Salem, NC 27101) to be reallocated.
